roamly insurance terms protect them selves so they dont have to repair your rv when a renter damages

Why does outdoorsy insurance terms protect them selves so they dont have to repair your rv when a renter damages it? I had a renter short out my batteries and caused an electrical fire in my 25’ Airstream front bed. They stated that the policy doesn’t cover electrical failure, but in this case the renter caused the damage while changing out the propane tanks. Here is their policy in part.

Per our Policy Exclusions Outdoorsy does not cover the following:

  1. Losses caused by mechanical or electrical breakdown or failure, wear and tear, lack of maintenance, or damages occurring over time. This includes resulting damage from a covered peril that was found to be caused by failure or breakdown.

doesn’t seem worth it to rent my trailer through outdoorsy if they are not going to insure it. Anyone else have this problem?

There are always limitations to insurance, this is where you have to go after the renter.  Good luck.
