Renters and Owners can amend their pickup or delivery arrangements after the booking has been approved. Post-approval handoff requests can be submitted by either party before the trip starts. Both parties will receive email and header notifications for all handoff changes being requested.
 
Both Owners and Renters can:
  • Switch from pickup to delivery, and vice versa
  • Switch the pickup or delivery location
  • Arrange for a stationary delivery

Owner Experience

Renter-initiated changes

1. When a Renter submits a handoff request, the Owner will be notified via email and a header notification. The notification in the header of the Booking page and in the “Handoff” section will display the Renter's request (seen below).

2. From the Bookings page, the Owner can choose whether to approve or decline the Renter’s handoff request. Depending on the changes being made to the handoff, the header notification will appear differently (seen below).

3. When the Owner approves the handoff request, the Renter’s card on file will be charged for any related expense and the changes will appear in the "Handoff" section (seen below).

Owner-initiated changes

1. Owners can suggest changes to the handoff from the “Handoff” section of the Bookings page (seen below).

 2. When the Owner selects the “Change handoff” button, the handoff module will pop up. Owners can enter their suggested changes and submit them to their Renter (seen below).

3. Once the Owner selects the "Select change" button, their suggestions will appear in the header notification and in the "Handoff" section (seen below).

4. When the Renter accepts or declines the Owner's suggested handoff change, the "Handoff" section will reflect it and the Owner will be notified via email. The Renter's card on file will be charged for any fees. If a refund is due, it will be processed with the card on file.
